Unsurprisingly, it tagged me as a Left Liberal, although i was only one tick away from the border with centrist.

I think that fits.

I tend to score differently every time I take this. I think these questions, the economic ones in particular, are poorly chosen.

"Government should not control the press" is a basic tenet of our system of government. Almost everyone in America should choose Yes.

On the other hand "End taxes. Pay for services with user fees." is extremely radical. If you are sure that there should be SOME taxes does that make you a liberal?

Some are hard to nail down. Some people argue that government funding for academic research is a business subsidy.

Some are poorly stated. Combatting unemployment is a stupid reason to oppose minimum wage laws.

The result, 53% of the people who take this thing score liberal or libertarian. Only 16% score in the lower or the right quadrants. If this was a realistic view of Americans we wouldn't have a Bush presidency.

This is one of the quizzes out there that can give a quick indicator of how your views are identified: Left, right, centrist, etc. It doesn't have very many questions, and is somewhat skewed based on the questions it has chosen, but it's a quick place to start.

If anyone knows of other more thorough surveys of this type, especially including options for opinions on current issues, please meme them? I'd be interested in taking a look.
