Wow. Some of his facts seem mildly distorted (like comparing averages to medians and logging change in only a couple percentage points), but the overall effect is profound.

Nothing will change, though, unless we get a bunch of under 50s in Congress. Or, at least, someone who'll approach the problem like what it is - a problem.

I personally don't believe in Social Security; I think we should get rid of the whole damn pot. If you can't think to save for your own retirement, then don't retire. Hell, these are probably the same people that don't save for their children's education but then expect handouts and tub baths when they can't feed themselves any longer.
And while we're at it, let's get them off the road. Those blue hairs scare the hell out of me.

Be careful what you wish for. While you're busy paying for the Baby Boomers retirement, you can sleep happily knowing you'll get what you want in time for your retirement :: no one will pay for yours.

That's my point. I don't expect anyone to pick up my tab except me. Its my money; I'd much rather it sit in a very secure account with a modest interest rate instead of at the Fed.
