I don't know if this qualifies, but I thought if it as I was reading. It is a clear spray that you can put over your license plate that prevents cameras from being able to capture it on film. I found it interesting.

There was already a 20/20 or 60 Minutes story on this being used in metro areas like NYC. The cities are moving to low light and/or infrared cameras for photographing license plates, so the spray won't work any longer. The basic technology of this and other sprays is to create such a high gloss coating on the plate that the flash used in taking the picture causes glare to burn out the image.
