Congress to vote on paper trail for e-voting systems
by Decius at 9:51 pm EDT, May 21, 2007

A U.S. House of Representatives committee has decided to send a bill to the floor that would require all touch-screen voting systems to produce a paper receipt for each ballot cast.

This is potentially of interest...

It's also about time. There are at least two congressional seats in the 2006 election that appears to have flipped because of bad machines and then there's the whole Ohio deal. When voting has far less security than even an ATM, it is far too easy for something to go wrong.
