Interesting....
So the traceroute to the next hop isn't private? or are all IP Addresses connected to "my" IP Address also private?

Could we be seeing a movement towards a closed Internet?

Heh, stupid brains. I do that with things too. You think more about the wrong thing, in order to ingrain that it's wrong, but your brain doesn't encode that part, just the repetition. It sucks.
