BULLSHIT!

This is CYA in full effect. The reason why Moore's Law will falter is because people have no NEED for ever increasing chip performance right now. That's why the peecee industry is in a slump. Everyone has a peecee already. And you don't need a 3GHz machine to check email and run Quicken or even watch lots of pr0n, which is what 99.999% of us do with our machines.

Therefore, I predict dire times for Intel, as they have been girding up and spending billions to increase fabrication and R&d facilities in order to get ahead of the Moores Law curve compared to AMD and IBM. If no one wants to buy faster and faster machines every 18 months, then there's not going to be any revenue to pay for those billion dollar fabs.

Let us pray that another killer app comes along and makes this irrelevant.
