I used to always put funny or bizarre comments into my code when I was a jockey. Usually the song I was listening to when I finished that page, or a poem, or a random thought (ie. OJ did it!). Every once and awhile, I would get an email from some random person commenting about my comments. I once had a client who refused to pay me because of them until I removed them all. Instead, I took them out of the source HTML and put them in a server side include. Needless to say, the client was not represented well in that situation.
