There's no way this will happen UNLESS Apple cannot get a financial (Note: NOT TECHNICAL) deal that makes sense from IBM and/or Motorola on a next generation PPC chip. It would devastate their hardware business from a volume perspective and they'd be basically reduced to being another Gateway. Besides, Apple's performance specs aren't too shabby considering the marketing onslaught from Intel on the MHz myth.
