Delcan has been throwing bombs at Lessig for over a year now, and this post is not the first counterstrike. I think the comment that set people off was:

In my view, we will make no progress following path one.

He isn't arguing against anonymity, he is saying that it's pursuit is a waste of time. Thats really what he said, and I really don't agree. Running with path two we'll make progress, and we'll end up with privacy that isn't private when you really need it to be.
