I love this thing. Built in CVS commits, Syntax Highlighting, TODO tag support, don't need to be an Admin to install, damn this is a cool IDE. I hate java, but this makes java less painful.

Ohhh there have a C++ plugin!

RE: Yahoo! News - 'Toothing' for Hi-Tech Sex with Strangers
Topic: Technology 12:38 pm EDT, Apr 21, 2004

] Jon, aka "Toothy Toothing" and the guide's author, explained
] toothing was born after he was "bluejacked" by an unknown girl while
] commuting to work in London. After a few days of flirting, she
] suggested a brief encounter in a station lavatory.

Let me get this straight, a guy named "Toothy" got "bluejacked" by some chick in a public bathroom.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say:
In. His. Wet. Dreams.

While I don't doubt "Toothing" (sorry can't keep a straight face... this is BRITIAN for god sakes!) exists, I don't think it started the way this guys wishes it did.

Pentagon Deleted Rumsfeld Comment (washingtonpost.com)
Topic: Miscellaneous 12:18 pm EDT, Apr 21, 2004

] At issue was a passage in Woodward's "Plan of Attack," an
] account published this week of Bush's decision making
] about the war, quoting Rumsfeld as telling Prince Bandar
] bin Sultan, the Saudi ambassador to Washington, in
] January 2003 that he could "take that to the bank" that
] the invasion would happen.

] Pentagon officials omitted the discussion of the meeting
] from a transcript of the Woodward interview that they
] posted on the Defense Department's Web site Monday.
] Rumsfeld told reporters at a briefing yesterday that he
] may have used the phrase "take that to the bank" but that
] no final decision had been made to go to war.

This is continues a scary trend the Bush Administration has done since it came into the Whitehouse: Trying to Change history. They have already modified their robots.txt to prevent indexing of Iraq related information on whitehouse.gov, and now they are released transcripts that aren't complete?

Sure we have the Washington Post to nail their ass, but will we always? As Clear Channel grows in power, ask yourself this: What would a politian be willing to do for a company that could literally change recorded history with its hold over all forms of media?

Interz0ne 3 - Review, pros and cons
Topic: Miscellaneous 4:40 pm EDT, Apr 20, 2004

My review on Interz0ne III. I also am quite frank in my pros and cons, discussing some problems I see where Interz0ne is going.

] The con organizers needs to relax, and let the con grow
] on its own based on the quality of its talks and how much
] fun it is to attend. They are seeking to make this a
] profitable venture, and good for them. However if they
] are charging $30 bucks a head when I am suppling
] free-of-charge over 3 hours of content, I don't expect or
] deserve some of the static I'm getting from them. I hope
] they change their focus, tone down their ideas of
] overnight greatness, and listen to what people are saying
] about their con. People constantly say they like
] Interz0ne because it is small enough that you can talk
] with the speakers, that it attracts smart hackers with
] good talks, and they enjoy the partying. Interz0ne is
] great the way it is, and in an effort to make it larger
] and profittable, Interz0ne is pissing a lot of people
] off, myself included. I hope this trend doesn't continue.

Interesting....This is what the casinos are using. I wonder if it could ever be competition for paypal.

I wonder if they have had the problems of phishing that Paypal has had?

I wonder how secure they are.

] Of course, the crops aren't eaten because they're full of
] toxic metals.
]
] Instead, Anderson harvests them for their minerals as
] they begin to die. He estimates he can recover 1 kilogram
] of gold per hectare (14 ounces an acre) and about half as
] much mercury through this process. Then the gold is used
] to pay for the cleanup and to educate locals about
] sustainable agriculture.

This is remarkably similar to the "plant" tiberium in the Command and Conquer games

] fits perfectly except for the arms, which are just a little too
] long, leading to wrinkles.
