BASIC Computer Language Turns 40

10 PRINT "In 1963 two Dartmouth College math professors had a radical"

20 PRINT "idea - create a computer language muscular enough to harness"

30 PRINT "the power of the period's computers, yet simple enough that even"

40 PRINT "the school's janitors could use it."

Basic can help you out. At the first Interz0ne, I ended up being giving a second unplanned talk. I needed to whip together some code, and the only thing I had was a Basic Compiler. I basically wrote ctime.h, used it for an app and gave my talk.

2 months later I get an email asking me to come interview for a intership at SpiDynamics, a local security company. After meeting alot of folks, I met the founder, a guy about my age in a Nirvana T-shirt and Tevas. First thing he says to me is

"Sir Dystic tells me you have some 31337 QBasic skillz."

It was a strange interview.
