Breakage at Yahoo?
by bucy at 11:19 am EDT, May 3, 2004

Has anyone else noticed that Yahoo seems to be having some
pretty serious problems for the past several days? As
far as I can tell, whoever is hosting their images (Akamai?)
is just plain dead ...

Most likely this problem is isolated to your local Akamai cache. Is it possible routing is broken between the cache and your location?

Just a thought, but I wonder if they could possibly be slow due to a surge in MS updates since they are (were at least) hosting Microsoft's update site.

We've known about the new worm here for over a week - I know there has been a tremendous push to update those networks that had early warning of this.
