It's an interesting datapoint about the rate of diffusion of memes in different regions of information space. New ideas seem to be amplified promptly and rapidly in blogspace, more slowly in the more traditional media and sometimes real slowly to bottom feeders like WWN.

Memestreams has a nice mixture of breaking news and more reflective references to items that have enduring interest or significance.
