Technology people across the country are terrified by the idea.

But there is a silver lining. If Congress passes this bill, on what principled basis can it then refuse to hold gun manufacturers responsible for the crimes committed with their technologies?

The parallels are unavoidable.

Lessig is missing something. Its not about right and wrong. Its about powerful and weak.

Gun companies are powerful, they get what they want.
Media companies are powerful, they get what they want.

The first step to getting what you want is to embrace the apathy. Only then will you see what you must do.
