[ Of course, you're entitled to that opinion, though I'd note that every generation seems to think that morality and virtue are in decline. You may well be right, of course, but it's worth analysing just where that feeling comes from.

I admit that in this case, she didn't seek help so she couldn't recieve any that was available. But the bigger issues I was talking about were eliminating poverty, providing quality education and offering opportunity. I'm confident that cases like this decline in such an environment. Those are the bigger issues.

I'm not saying she gets a pass... even a 13 year old should value life more highly than that, but calling for lots of jail time for lots of people doesn't necessarily serve the goal of correcting the problem. Still, as I said, she goes to jail, and so does her boyfriend, that's correct. -k]
