Patrick Aaron Lee autopsy final details in: Taser did not directly affect the outcome
by Dagmar at 7:48 am EDT, Oct 15, 2005

I think the title pretty much summarizes the situation. The final toxicology has come back, and Levy has released his results. There was indeed more than just drugs involved, and it wasn't just the Taser.

Of course, since this affair has been covered distastefully by the media up to now, I see no reason why it shouldn't continue, so in the upper portion of the article you may notice a paragraph which looks like it was more or less made up to fit circumstances, and I somehow doubt this detail came from Levy.

Someone *died* and now people are trying to capitalize on the situation, apparently in hopes that they can sue for some money. The people responsible for continuing the stink and refusing to face reality should truly be ashamed of themselves.

I'm not disagreeing with you... but the whole 'excited delerium' thing sounds a bit like a very pissed of/delusional person that takes their clothes off because they are coated in pepper spray/mace. Sounds like maybe the cause of death is not quite hard science, and is really 'we don't know. Anyway, sounds like the cops did what they had to do.

Well, I think what you are saying is that the family is this 'someone' that you are referring to. I'm kinda surprised at this, given the family's experience with similar situations in the past (although not nearly as traumatic as this one). Conversations that I've had indicate that the family is NOT interested in suing anyone. But it's hard to actually know the facts, even when you know people within the situation. No one seems to know what the hell is going on for sure, since the news keeps repeating that the family is filing a civil suit and is interviewing an attorney representing them. But we'll definitely sell more newspapers and television ads thanks to this.
