Ga. Senate panel OKs Confederate month
by dc0de at 11:23 am EDT, Mar 22, 2007

You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!?

Since when is there a "Holiday" or "Celebration" for those who LOST the war?

April as Confederate History and Heritage Month to honor the memory of the Confederacy and "all those millions of its citizens of various races and ethnic groups and religions who contributed in sundry and myriad ways to the cause of Southern Independence."

What "sundry and myriad ways" did racially focused, inbred, lazy landowners "contribute" to American Society?

Oh, wait, I get it... they are the cause of the Racial Divide in our Nation today... (but is that a good thing? -- NO.)

Georgia needs to get a grip. I'm not about "apologizing for slavery", as I have never owned a slave, nor treated anyone as a slave, regardless of race, color, religion, etc...

But to blatently wave the "confederate" flag and "honor" those dead ways, is akin to paganism in Rome.

It simply has NO PLACE in modern society.

[to the senators who voted for this bill]
Take off your white robes or get out of office.

LMFAO. See, I know for a fact this still happens in AL, but the people who do it aren't literate enough or trust thier congress-critters enough to make it official. Let's hear it for GA's Literacy Rate. :-p
