There are several disturbing similarities between the U.S. economy's recent behavior and its behavior in 2000–01, but also some reassuring differences.

I don't feel reassured. You can actually SEE the bubble popping in this chart.

It might not be a pop, it could level off. It could also be a forced drop to prevent a pop.
