I'm starting to wonder myself. I'm chocking it up to an extreme lack of sleep though.

Maybe your looking at this wrong, perhaps the police were right there BECAUSE you have charges pending against the city. I might even go so far (since I don't live in that city) as to suggest it might be a warning. Did you get a good look at the person who jumped you? Were the dressed in blue?:)

No clue. I do know the cops do bar security around here. Honestly, I have no description of the person who hit me. I was facing away from them at the time of impact, walking toward the street.
