Ok, now someone has to create one that is visible from space.... how about at burning man? or in the Mojave?

Now that would be killer...

In the spirit of Danny Hillis, Stewart Brand, and Peter Schwartz, I propose that it be made out of plants, and that it be grown in the forest. It would have a frame rate on the order of 24 frames per century.

Of course, this puts the emphasis on "short videos" in a whole new light. The medium would likely be more exquisite corpse and less auteur theory.

Anyone have about 10,000 LED's?

We could make a large set of sheets, and lay them out in a pattern, say on a football field, or hung from the side of a building and replicate a similar thing...

That'd be a cool thing to hang down the face of the PN Hotel...

I'm thinking using DC and nichrome wire may reduce the weight... and if we use RGB and White LED's, it could be pretty cool...

Any takers?
