New Scientist - Quasars put lens on dark energy
by Dr. Nanochick at 11:18 pm EST, Nov 12, 2002

] "Observations of distant quasars distorted by massive
] invisible objects have provided fresh evidence that the
] Universe is mostly made up of mysterious "dark energy".
] The research indicates that around two thirds of the
] Universe consists of dark energy, a strange
] "anti-gravity" force affecting distant objects. This is
] consistent with previous studies, such as those on very
] distant supernovae explosions.
] These indicate that the Universe is expanding at an
] increasing rate, because the supernovae are dimmer than
] would be expected for a Universe without dark energy."

If anyone knows of any good books or other information on this "dark energy", let me know:) Sounds pretty interesting.
