John Kerry: FUCK YOU.
by Dagmar at 12:17 pm EDT, Sep 18, 2007

For standing on stage like a cowardly sack of crap, because in theory you more than anyone else there should have known what was going on in that room was illegal and would have had the power to stop it with a word but didn't.

FUCK YOU.

You're done. As far as a lot of Americans and myself are concerned, you will never be worthy of a vote again. You very obviously don't have our best interests in heart, and even more clearly don't give a crap what happens to your fellow man even when it's right in front of you.

What scares me more than that is that none of the people in the video were doing anything to pull the cops off the kid. I wouldn't expect Kerry to do anything, but what about the people who obviously saw a first amendment violation?

I find it very interesting to read the comments.
I saw the video, and my response was just a shocked "What did he DO?" to be arrested. I was still trying to process that when the next thing I know, he was being tazed.

Once again, I see ALL these cops - and a noncombative, although nonviolently resisting person - and I wonder why the cops could not have contained the situation without the use of a taser, just like mental health professionals do EVERY SINGLE DAY.

A lot of people making comments call this guy a idiot, an attention seeker, ect. I think that people are holding very tightly to their 'just world theory' here. I personally do not believe that theory.

I think the constitution needs to a good PR agent. Somehow it is now popularly thought to be unimportant. And tasers need to go. Post haste.

A lot of these people I suspect are shills, or folks who are mouthing off without actually watching the video footage that rebukes most of their claims, like the claim that the guy talked beyond his allotted time. The mic was killed at almost exactly two minutes, and the cops had him by both arms less than 3 seconds after that. If you watch all the vids, almost all of the claims against the victim immediately sound like complete nonsense. I think maybe they were making these statements assuming that most people wouldn't bother to do that.

I find the claims made by Kerry's people even more amusing, especially the one where they're saying that Kerry didn't know anything about the tasing until after he left the building. He was less than 50ft away, and as clearly as those handicams picked up the guy saying "Don't tase me bro" the man had to have had an idea something was going on.... yet he did nothing.

Agreed. Unfortunately, too many citizens who would criticize what happened in that video as a First Amendment violation don't get upset about blatant Second or Fourteenth Amendment violations. There's a tendency for individuals to pick and choose what's important to them without recognizing the value of our Constitutional rights, as a whole. When we stop caring about all of our rights, even those that some of us might not utilize, we start to lose all of them.

It appears that, as long as Kerry can do the things he wants to do in his life, he doesn't care about another's rights being violated (such as a student's right to speak his mind, a gay couple's right to marry, or a woman's right to defend her home with an SG 510). I'm sure that applies to many politicians, but as you guys noted, Kerry was right there.

Note to self...
Stef's Powerball List: Item 4,817 (move to Item 1) - Buy national television and radio ad time to promote the Constitution, focusing on a different Section or Amendment in each spot, starting with the Bill of Rights. Hire The Martin Agency to create the ads. Approach the project as a Schoolhouse Rock! for adults.

This is the wishy-washy bullshit fucktard that I saw when he ran for president the first time... He's always been a sack of shit. And he deserves to be chastised in EVERY WAY for allowing this to occur in front of him.

That's pretty much why I didn't vote for him in 2004. As much as I felt the world was going to hell in a hand basket back then with the current administration, I didn't find the alternative any better. And frankly, I still don't. I came close to registering to vote for that election, but I stand by my original conviction on the matter. It doesn't do jack shit. It's just a game that makes you FEEL like something good might happen.

This video is excruciatingly disturbing. The comment about anyone coming to save this kid is naive. The only thing that could've made this even more depressing is having a melee break out between citizens that understand and are motivated by their rights and the cops. It would've likely resulted in something that made civil rights incidents look tame by comparison. And of course in today's day and age, there's probably a line a mile long of attorneys salivating.

This may sound pessimistic, but this video shows the truth. You don't have any real rights. People are shit and scared shit at that. Someone who stood up in front of the entire American populace and pledged themselves as a leader just stood and watched and even tried to placate the crowd with a "now now... let's just stay calm" cowtow. The idea that the US is somehow different in the way that it treats its citizens in situations like this is a sham. The only difference between us and say China is a) this guy wasn't dragged out and executed and b) there will be tons of litigation and insurance claims on this incident. That's it.
