great job!

I realized today when I was in the locker room after a hockey game and everyone on my team was ragging on the peace loving hippies that are anti-war that I'm not so sure I'm anti-war. (despite being the token lefty on the team)

I think war is atrocious. It's a complete waste of resources and time and human life. It should never be the answer to any question.

I particularly think that this situation with Iraq isn't about oil, or territorial control, or Israel, or revenge for Daddy, or even about peace and security in the middle east. I think it's about beating up the bully on the playground before the bully beats us up.

But I still can't figure out why it's our problem.

In the end though, I hope the French get the first SCUD.

Hrm. The anti-war movement is so over the top that they really don't leave you with an alternative to disagreeing with them. Unfortunately the pro-war movement is just as bad. It seems like everything has devolved into screaming lunacy. Either you think that Bush and company are ravenous baby eating monsters or you think the french are a bunch of pussys. If there is someone out there with a clue they sure are hard to hear above the noise. Blair is the most sincere commentator I've heard. I wish I had a good, carefully considered counterpoint to reference.

oh, beleive me, I think the French are pussies. But that thought formed in my head long before our current situation.

But I agree with your general statement. There's no middle ground, and even if you tell people that you are in the middle of this issue, they still look at you funny because you haven't been polarized like everyone else.

There is a redundant post from Decius not displayed in this view.
