I just saw these the other day on eBay I knew that it couldn't be that easy.

Hmmm. Now, I've never hacked on of these but the article mentions the two-way communications. Could it be feasible to make the box not transmit to the cable company when you order your movie, but respond to the polls? Like a stateful cable box or something.
