Frankly, no. There are cases where the only place to make a U turn safely on a motorcycle are miles up the road. And it's more than just convenience, it's about safety.

As it is now, when I pull up to a sensor that I know won't get triggered, I usually have to pull to the side to allow a car behind me to trigger it, otherwise, we'll all sit there in a queue waiting forever. Pretty much everytime I've done this, some idiot almost runs into me from behind. I've also been 'warned' in those situations for not lane sharing, even though technically it's the car that's lane sharing with me. It's a no win situation.
