(CNN) -- Scientists at the Large Hadron Collider managed to make two proton beams collide at high energy Tuesday, marking a "new territory" in physics, according to CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research.

(CNN) -- Scientists at the Large Hadron Collider came closer to destroying the solar system today when they successfully made two proton beams collide at high energy, marking "another step toward the black hole doomsday," according to CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, whose spokes person also said "BLA-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" while framed by dramatic bolts of lightning.

Heh. Effective the morning of December 22, 2012, the History Channel will need to come up with some new programming. In the meantime, they'll keep milking their doomsday shows.
