Monument From Hell - Make room for a Matthew Shepard hate monument in a town square near you. By Emily Bazelon

] Now the Kansas reverend wants to put up a 6-foot-tall
] monument in Casper's Central Park that you can view here.
] A bronze plaque on the monument would read:
]
]
] Matthew Shepard Entered Hell October 12, 1998, at age
] 21 in Defiance of God's Warning: "Thou shalt not lie with
] mankind as with womankind; it is abomination." Leviticus
] 18:22

Every day I feel more justified in my distaste for stupid christian groups. How can you take a message such as that which Christ ostensibly stood for, and go so far awry?

especially since christ basically said, "Um, you remember all that shit I said before, as God? Toss that, believe in me, and, like, that basically does it. Don't be an asshole."

Leviticus is some Old Testament shit which serves primarily to highlight how much better Jesus' plan was than the old plan of making lots of rules and exceptions and stuff, even if you are a christian.

This is so tasteless it reminds me why i don't claim i'm christian in mixed company. i was raised christian, and think true christianity has lots going for it, but i'm done being identified among these kinds of fucking jackasses.

There is a redundant post from Dr. Nanochick not displayed in this view.
