Whats with the Whitfield Diffie quote on this site? I mean they have this page with all these supposedly high power people talking about how this new group helps them get together to work on critical problems, and they've got this picture of Diffie looking down upon you with strange lighting, and they ask him, "What do you think about the GCSOC," and he says, "Ahhhh, whatever, I had lunch with 'em..." and they were so honored by this that they put it on their website!?

Honestly, everytime a hear a group of people talking about how XYZ thing needs to have a "C" in front of it and it needs to be managed at the highest level of the organization, I honestly have to say that it sounds like a bunch of professional politicians trying to collectively bargain themselves a promotion. This is no NANOG. I don't think any of these people is going to come up with a really innovative approach to handling computer security in large organizations, but I'm pretty sure that they can make it "common wisdom" that computer security lead is a senior executive job and they all need to make at least $100,000 more a year.

Wake me up when they have something interesting to say.
