] whatsoever. I have also PERSONALLY seen this happen to at

Well, I was going to suggest that since he's relatively new to the show, that maybe he's just trying to earn some credibility points the easy way. Afterall, to the audience at large, he's just delivering what they want, which is things of interest. Not necessarily the stories behind them.

But if this is a series of behavior which shows little or no signs of changing, then maybe he's just an asshole? Perhaps a polite message to his producer suggesting that he throw the creators a bone would be enough to nudge him and ingratiate himself more to the community in which he's mining.

FWIW, I've stopped watching that show for over a year now, as it seemed to become a parady of itself. It used to be a really great place to see neat stuff, but now it just seems like Wired meets Slashdot meets the marketing department for the SciFi channel.
