I'm going to suggest a natural language interpretation of what we can learn from the Internet routing table and from the archives of the routing table.

You don't see, until very recently, much that actually has been trying to associate with these logical layer endings with geopolitical endings until very recently.

It seems to me, based on this data, that proliferation of Autonomous Systems is a useful measure or benchmark of one element of efficiency which contributes to national network economy, which is to say domestic wholesale capacity market, the course fibre part.

And the growth of Internet production without corresponding proliferation, diversification, of AS numbers may be, in effect, indicative of bottlenecks which may be harmful or may actually impede the rate of national network growth.
