I read about this a few years back, although at the time it was an effort to basically bring about one piece from Neal Stephenson's _The_Diamond_Age_ - the electronic book with paper-like pages. Another application they were working on was real time updatable maps that would roll up into a tube that had wireless communications set up with command. It does get me excited about the possibilities for consumer use, though. We all know that pr0n would be the first application for it.

P.S. - My other meme suggestion that I forgot to mention after 4 beers - allow the u tags in replies so that I can properly underline book titles that I reference. ;)
