I predict that by ] 2010, nearly 90% of all young women will have nude photos or ] videos of themselves _somewhere_. If you look at two very ] important factors, you may agree: i agree with your thesis if not your arguments, though i'd replace 'nude' with the more general 'revealing'. i was discussing a similar topic with a female friend the other day -- she's really bothered by the proliferation of small, easily carried digital cameras, for this very reason. the more people have cellphones and pdas and so on with a decent built in camera, the more likely it is that someone will snap a picture of you doing something embarrassing (at least) while you're at the bar/pool/beach/party/whatever. I hadn't thought about it before, and my initial reaction was to not care. I doubt anyone's all that interested in looking at pictures of me, regardless of what i'm doing, but after talking with this person and remembering other conversations i've had, i imagine this is a concern for many people, especially girls. clearly there are lots of women willing to get naked for cash, but there's even more who're likely to end up posted on the internet, never knowing it, due to some joker with a camera phone. i wouldn't dream of proposing a solution of any kind... i doubt there is one, but it's something to be aware of. privacy advocates have seen this coming for years... pretty soon the only thing keeping ones likeness off the record is going to be the lack of a social life or any interesting characteristics. ] So the likely story here is that young and poor Ms. Lynch ] needed some cash. Service buddies are either running a site or ] are in the loop on a site. Ms. Lynch poses and gets paid. I'm not sure i'm cynical enough to agree. Clearly some servicemen were in on it, someone took pictures, but the accounts i've seen describe "cavorting", and indicate that great pains were taken by Flynt to positively id the person in the picture as ms. lynch. this makes me think the pix are more like the washed out and indistinct tabloid shots of various celebs and royalty going topless on mediteranian beaches than a posed, planned photoshoot, even an amateur one. -- as an afterthought, i'd imagine it's statistically unlikely, even with perfect memory, that you'd see the same girl twice. the world's a big place, with lots of people, and the, uh, turnover rate, in pr0n is probably pretty high.
