"POLICE had to break up an animal rights protest yesterday when schoolchildren in Aberdeen pelted activists with cartons of milk."

That's what these morons deserved for messing with kids.

Hockey team's equipment manager discovers the thrill of the ice
Topic: Miscellaneous 1:39 pm EST, Dec 23, 2002

"FORT WAYNE, Ind. - They stood outside the locker room and chanted.

They chanted for the equipment manager, of all people. And they chanted for more than an hour.

Joe Franke lived the dream of all sports fans. He may be older, balding and a bit out of shape, but he played with the big boys and he won. And the fans wanted to thank him."

It's Not Just the Internet - Almost no one pays for content in any medium. By Michael Kinsley
Topic: Miscellaneous 3:44 pm EST, Dec 13, 2002

economics are not, after all, suspended in cyberspace like the laws of gravity in outer space. Content needs to be paid for on the Web just as in any other medium. And it probably has to be paid for the same way most other things are paid for: by the people who use it. We tried charging the customers at Slate. It didn't work. Future experiments may be more successful, and we at Slate encourage others to jump in. We'll watch. But meanwhile, let's look again at this notion that in every medium except the Internet people pay for the content they consume. It's not really true.

Should You Trust Website Customer Reviews?

I am quickly coming to the conclusion that I believe the following things:

o there is some truth to everything you hear
o there is some mistruth to everything you hear
o everything in life is rigged
