Kid Rock: Stapp 'Idiot' for Losing Tape
Topic: Arts 1:15 am EST, Mar  3, 2006

Kid Rock blames Scott Stapp for losing a sex video showing them with several strippers, but appreciates Stapp for one thing. "What perfect timing," Rock told The Associated Press in an interview Wednesday. "I got a record coming up ... Maybe I should thank him."

Somehow I was sort of waiting for this one... LOL!

"Hello Kitty, Stamp Village," a 26-part series on the adventures of the mouthless cat and her companions in a forest, will be completed this month and will air in Asia, Europe and North America, the Sanrio company said.

This will be like Survivor, except because Hello Kitty has no mouth, it will be a 26 episode hunger strike as we see her slowly waste away...

Topic: Arts 12:12 pm EST, Jan 20, 2006

"He did his part. It was a great ride, a great trip, I loved him and I'm sure he was well-loved, and I just hope that he's given his props," Michael Wilson Pickett, the fourth of the singer's six children, told WRC-TV in Washington after his death.

PLay it loud Wilson, we want to hear it all the way down here.

Amazon.com: Books: The Social History of the Machine Gun
Topic: Arts 5:16 am EDT, Oct 26, 2005

If you have never read this book, make a point to do so. It says a lot about the the technical changes, but says a great deal more about the social implications people derived from that technological superiority.

And the lessons taught then do not seem to have been learned.

Bob Denver, whose portrayal of goofy castaway Gilligan on the 1960s TV show "Gilligan's Island" made him an iconic figure to generations of TV viewers, has died.

So long little buddy...

A Filthy Theme And Variations
Topic: Arts 1:06 am EDT, Aug 20, 2005

"The Aristocrats" is -- how shall I put it? -- an essay film, a work of painstaking and penetrating scholarship, and, as such, one of the most original and rigorous pieces of criticism in any medium I have encountered in quite some time.

Perhaps I should add that "The Aristocrats" is also possibly the filthiest, vilest, most extravagantly obscene documentary ever made.

The five second review, if you aren't afraid to have every sensability insulted, you'll laugh, otherwise, you'll leave (like some of the people there). Worth my eight bucks.
