News from a disillusioned college student.

Generation Debt: The New Economics of Being Young: The Ambition Tax
Topic: Current Events 1:29 am EST, Mar 18, 2004

] The average collegian in the U.S. isn't graduating into a
] world of boundless opportunity, but rather is
] $20,000-plus in the hole thanks to student loans and
] credit cards. So begins the snowball effect: The most
] desirable entry-level jobs often pay wages too low for
] the indebted, who must fork over a large percentage of
] their salaries to Sallie Mae or Citibank.

This problem affects me and practically everyone I know. Very insightful article about the problems that trouble Generation X and Y.

I thought this parody of a recent Bush ad was pretty funny. Very well done technically, as well.

] Haitie is such a strategic country for the US to take over,
] you know.
] Im sure that North Korea is shaking in there boots right now
] at the coup d'etat that Bush pulled off in Haitie.

GWB probably had Aristide ushered out because his KKK wizard wanted him to and also so that Cheney and Halliburton could corner the market on Haitian vodoo products.

If we were going to pursue coups around the world, there are many more strategic places to do it than Haiti. Honestly, it's not that important nor does it have anything valuable to anyone who would care to exploit it.

Ah, I understand. But some people think this issue will make or break the moral fiber of America...so I guess it depends on what you think about the issue.
