Yahoo! News - EBay Founders, CEO Rank in Top U.S. Philanthropists
Topic: Technology 11:12 pm EST, Feb 22, 2003

The tech industry may be down but that doesn't stop the cheerful giver. And the obligatory quote to entice, "To make the journal's list, a donor had to pledge or provide at least $10 million."

Forbes.com: The Making Of A $2 Billion Brand
Topic: Business 9:18 am EST, Feb 21, 2003

Very interesting read about the branding of Google. I'll leave you the tidbit about Google's advertising tactics to read. I want to discuss why a company who "as fiscal 2002 profits at $100 million" would even think about an IPO?

Yahoo! News - Man Allegedly Steals 6 Cars During Chase
Topic: Society 11:17 am EST, Feb 19, 2003

In this installment of "Gone in 60 Seconds" the suspect elludes the cops in "slow" cars and trucks. My question is, "What were the cops doing when he was stealig all these cars, WHILE they where chasing him?". Surely it takes more than 15 to 20 seconds to get out of the old car and get the new one going.

RE: What Should I Do With My Life?
Topic: Miscellaneous 12:09 pm EST, Jan  2, 2003

Wow. Did they write this for me? I have been struggling with this for quite some time. Besides asking "THE" question I have also asked, "Why do most people get up early, go to work, stay all day, go home, and do it all over again everyday?". This seems like an unnatural, engraved thought process forced upon humans. It could be I just haven't answered "THE" question, and therefore won't be able to answer question number two until I do. Thanks for the link.

Kroger lets shoppers pay via fingerprint
Topic: Society 11:52 am EST, Dec 26, 2002

And the latest CSI goes:
Grissom: I can see the suspect prefers Heinz Ketchup and has a large dog that eats Purina.
Brass: You got that from a fingerprint?
Grissom: No, the new KROGER system.

This is a problem many programmers face daily. Build your own or use something that's already available.

If you build it, will they come?
