Review: 'Splinter Cell' lights up computer screen - Apr. 1, 2003
Topic: Video Games 3:53 pm EST, Apr  1, 2003

I have played this game on the XBox and it is nothing short of astonishing. This is the only game where my family actually sat and watched me play as if they were watching some intense spy thriller. Great gameplay. I especially like the parts where you can't even use a weapon as you take on enemies armed with automatics. Refreshingly different then most FPS.

Looks like it not just for TN anymore:

Well, here it is folks, the homefront battles. Show your support for America and let's try to do something about this.

Middle-school 'mafia boss' arrested on felony charges
Topic: Current Events 1:12 am EST, Mar 26, 2003

So there's this 14 year old, "The Boss", and all he wanted to to do was figure out "how he could make money, fast." The plan? "The Boss envisioned making as much as $100,000 by assigning various 'jobs' to his friends, then taking a 25 percent cut for himself. The Boss, according to one of the lists he compiled, envisioned his "family" making money in prostitution, weapons sales, money laundering, recruiting hit men - even candy sales." Well, atleast they new their market with the candy sales. So the story gets better. Another student "arrested on the misdemeanor charge was nicknamed 'The Hacker' because he was supposed to alter grades in the school's computer system." Now, I won't ruin the plot or climax for you but I'm thinking this should be a TV show or movie called Youngfellows.

Hmmm. Now, I've never hacked on of these but the article mentions the two-way communications. Could it be feasible to make the box not transmit to the cable company when you order your movie, but respond to the polls? Like a stateful cable box or something.

Alright. Maybe I'm the only person who never knew such a beastly insect existed but this is just too awesome to pass up.
