The Entertainment Software Association tipped the Immigration and Customs Enforcement branch of the Homeland Security Department that Crippen was allegedly running the circumvention outfit from his house. There, the authorities said they seized a dozen consoles. He allegedly charged about $100 to jailbreak a console.

“Playing with games in this way is not a game, it is criminal,” Robert Schoch, an ICE agent, said in a statement.

The DMCA says, “no person shall circumvent a technological measure that effectively controls access to a work protected under this title.

This is just madness! The DMCA needs to be removed from the Title 17 of the US code.
