The dead milkmen
Topic: Miscellaneous 4:58 pm EST, Mar 18, 2005

Rattle would be proud. I was taking a mini-hiatus from work on this gorgeous Friday in Atlanta to travel down to little five to pick up some concert tickets. As I was walking into Criminal Records, it hit me that I had a burning sensation for some new music. Actually, I had wanted to get a Dinosaur Jr. Album because for some reason, I started thinking about them, and I don't have any of their music right now. Anyway, I hit the bins, looking around for some good music to buy, and low and behold, I came across a Dead Milkmen album (Metaphysical Graffiti), and I decided to purchase it. I haven't gotten to listen to it yet, as I have no working CD player in my car right now, and I didn't know if it was work safe, but I am very excited. Anyway, random meme, I know, but Rattle talks about the Dead Milkmen so much that I feel that I should really give them a listen.

IPOD shuffle
Topic: Miscellaneous 5:10 pm EST, Jan 11, 2005

Cool new concept from Apple...its a flash drive IPOD. The small version holds about 120 songs, costs $99, and plugs right into your USB port. Very cool.

Also, while your there, check out the stripped down computer Apple is going to sell for $499.

I agree with Hijexx. I see no reason why a con roughly the size of PN...possibly even smaller, would need $50. I mean...Defcon is $75, and if Interz0ne is $50, then $75 for Defcon is starting to look like a good deal. I don't plan on attending Interz0ne this year. Granted, I may happen to be hanging out at the hotel's bar, to chat with friends I only see at cons...but I won't be "going" to the con because 1) I think $50 is way too expensive and 2) past grievances with the so called "student price" that was suddenly retracted at the door last year. If you advertise a student price, then either stick to it, or give me a damn good valid reason why the "student price" is retracted. When your a student, every dollar counts. Anyway, thats my rant for the evening:)

Interesting. Someone is finally thinking outside the box on this one, and I like it. Its not creepy...its a brilliant solution to the stem cell problem. Both sides win. I hope this is something the bioethics committee will really consider.

True, its mtv.com...not exactly the website I would turn to for politics (or music for that matter), but I did find this funny recap of the third debate on there that some of you may find humorous, so I figured I would share it:)
