Documentary: Crazy Rulers of the World
Posted by Mark Frauenfelder, November 1, 2007 5:30 PM | permalink
Crazy Rulers of the World is a documentary about secret paranormal experiments conducted inside military bases.

200711011732 Three years in the making, Jon Ronson’s Crazy Rulers of the World explores the apparent madness at the heart of US military intelligence. With first-hand access to the leading players in the story, Jon Ronson examines the extraordinary -- and plain bizarre -- national secrets at the core of George W Bush's war on terror.

Interviewee: "We had a master sergeant that could stop the heart of a goat"

Jon Ronson: "What? Just by looking at it?"

Interviewee: Just by wantin' the goat's heart to stop

All three parts are available on Google. Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3

I think this has been mentioned before... If not its a great documentary series.

Dustin Diamond has a sex tape - The Superficial - www.thesuperficial.com
Topic: Movies 5:31 pm EDT, Sep 27, 2006

I really hope this isn't true, but Dustin Diamond (Screech from Saved by the Bell) supposedly has a 40-minute sex tape in which he engages in a threesome with two women and even performs a Dirty Sanchez.

Phoenix-based agent David Hans Schmidt, who has brokered some of Hollywood's biggest celebrity-skin deals, confirms that he's acquired the rights to a tape featuring Diamond. "Just when you think you have seen everything in this business," he tells us, "mankind has raised the bar another notch. Or lowered it."

The working title for the sex tape is "Saved by the Smell," but they should consider changing it to "The Last Video You Will Ever Watch" and then package a gun with every copy of the tape, so that after you watch it you can blow out your own brains. Because after you see a naked Screech wiping a women's upper lip with her own feces I can't imagine your brain could be thinking anything other than self termination. Kill the body to save the mind.

Desert Ridge near Tatum and Loop 101 in Phoenix.

The two snakes caused a panic in the dark theater, according to the report.

"That to me is very scary," herpetological association representative Tom Whiting said. "I would hate to be watching a movie about snakes and have a rattlesnake bite me."

Samuel Jackson appears on "The Daily Show" to show the money clip from his notorious new movie, and to get Jon Stewart worked into a lather over some motherf***ing snakes on a motherf***ing plane. The whole experience was so absurdly giddy, we had to include it here in its entirety.

How to Write Screenplays. Badly.: On Follow-Up Calls
Topic: Movies 1:34 pm EDT, Jun 29, 2006

ME
Jeremy Slater. You know, the awesome screenwriter. I'm a big fan of your work, by the way. Especially the way you directed Jurassic Park. And that other one...what was it called? Snakes on a Something. Bus? Plane? Plane, right?

(long silence)

MR. X
That wasn't me.

ME
Shit, I meant Jews on a Train.

MR. X
...Schindler's List.

ME
What?

MR. X
Schindler's List. That's what it was called.

ME
Are you sure? That can't be right.

(long silence)

MR. X
Who is this again?

ME
Jeremy Slater? I, um, sent you my screenplay a few days ago? Just wondering whether you want to buy it or whatever. Make me an offer. I'll take anything.

MR. X
How did you get this number?

ME
That's not important. Let's focus on RAPEBEAR.

(longest silence yet)

MR. X
Excuse me?

haha
The tshirts with the rapebear are Here.

Ron Johnson, Penn, Teller, and The Chupacabra
Topic: Movies 4:23 pm EDT, May 16, 2006

And now, a rare instance of Rattle recommending movies. Here are some recommendations for your next movie night:

Penn & Teller enjoy playing jokes on each other. When Penn says on an interview show that he wishes he has someone threatening his life so that he "wouldn't sweat the small stuff," each of them begins a series of pranks on the other to suggest a real threat. Then they find that a real psychopath is interested in them.

Penn and Teller Get Killed will make you laugh, a lot. This 1989 low-budget flick is notable for being the best movie ever to feature Atlantic City.

The next time you and your friends watch a bunch of conspiracy documentaries you pulled off conspiracy central, follow them up with this gem from Troma, the Legend of the Chupacabra:

The Chupacabra (Spanish for "goat sucker")--Is it mere folklore? A government conspiracy? Some weirdo in a latex suit? When the mutilation of her uncle's goats (and her uncle) by the brutal Chupacabra is caught on tape, Maria Esperanza vows to find out despite the superstitious fears of the locals.

The Crazy Rulers of The World from Ron Johnson would work particularly well:

The Crazy Rulers of the World is the extraordinary, never before told story of what happened when chiefs of US intelligence, the army, and the government began believing in very strange things.

The three-part series begins with The Men Who Stare at Goats, which charts the history of a secret US Army unit founded in 1979 - the First Earth Battalion.

Be all that you can be! [FM].
