Its amazing how some of these states capitals (like Detriot, Atlanta, Kansas City) have an awful lot of Nuclear waste thats going right through the heart of the city. I can just imagine the traffic report: "Overturned tractor trailer on the Connector has you backed up to 285 because of some depleted uranium. On 400 North there's a ladder in the road..." ] In brief A computer virus specifically designed to steal ] files with names such as "exam" or "test questions" has ] reportedly been discovered by a Chinese Internet security ] firm. ] ] The "exam theft" virus is capable of infecting Microsoft ] Word and Excel files and uploading targeted documents ] onto the Net, the Shanghai Daily News reports. The paper ] reports that there is a thriving trade in black-market ] exam papers and implies this might have motivated the ] creation of the virus. This is amazing! We have spiders and robots to crawl and compile searchs for the web. Dogpile used to (and probably still does) have a search for major FTP sites. We have some (rather crappy but getting better) P2P search engines. Viruses that are tailor made to crawl the internet looking for specific data instead of destroying it was bound to happen. Provided you could keep the propogation controlled, people might not even know about it. Imagine a virus that exploits a box, searchs for specific data, send it to you, patch the hole the came in with, and moves to the next computer. Data crawling viruses |

White House: 'Oh course global warming exists!' |

] WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- Warmer temperatures in North ] America since 1950 were probably caused in part by human ] activity, the Bush administration said in a report that ] appeared to contradict the White House position there was ] no clear scientific proof on the causes of global ] warming. ] ] "North American temperature changes from 1950 to 1999 ] were unlikely to be due only to natural climate ] variations," the report said. ] ] The brief passage in the report was surprising because ] President Bush and other senior administration officials ] have long insisted there was no clear scientific proof to ] link human activities to global warming. I remember clearly my dad telling me one night that global warming didn't exist. He said that communists from collapsed Soviet Russia had infiltrated our enviromental groups, and were proposing stupid theories and crazy laws to try and hinder America's industrial might, because they hate our way of life and want to stop it. And yes, He really believes it. Anyone who thinks that dumping millions of tons of crap into the air each year isn't causing problems is either a fool, or hasn't breathed the nice fresh air of LA.
