Topic: Miscellaneous 4:37 am EDT, Oct 19, 2001

unsure about what drugs to use? sketched out about what might happen? welcome to the vaults of erowid where you can gain knowledge on every drug in existance that is known to man. there's even a knowledge base of combinations used across drug platforms.

werd.

Erowid.org is an online library of information about psychoactive plants and chemicals and related topics. The information on the site is a compilation of the experiences, words, and efforts of hundreds of individuals including users, parents, health professionals, doctors, therapists, chemists, researchers, teachers, and lawyers. Erowid acts as a publisher of new information as well as a library for the collection of documents published elsewhere. The information found on the site spans the spectrum from solid peer reviewed research to fanciful creative writing.

A (sort of) Reflection on the Evolution of DefCon
Topic: Miscellaneous 8:30 pm EDT, Oct 16, 2001

Interesting open letter from Dark Tangent (Jeff Moss) that reflects
on DefCon's evolution and asks for feedback from the Hacker community on how to deal with some of the current issues.

I have plenty of ideas that I'd like to suggest that we wanted to use for PhoCon, and I'll suggest them to DefCon, because the likelyhood of PhoCon ever happening is pretty slim.

Something Is Killing Off the Sims, and It's Not by Accident
Topic: Miscellaneous 12:16 pm EDT, Oct 16, 2001

"It took only weeks before Sims players discovered that the pet guinea
pig was carrying a potentially fatal virus..."

This is great. I'm going to get the add on package to watch my sim die.

Windows, Really Good Edition

This is the most accurate representation of Windows that I've ever seen. There's a gross pop-up, but when you get to this site, click on the RG edition. Then click "watch this movie"
