Topic: Intellectual Property 6:45 pm EST, Feb 26, 2009

David Ross and Ed Colbert debate the copyright issues surrounding Shepard Fairey's Obama poster. (06:37)

This segment on the Colbert Report is one of the most clued discussions about a copyright matter I've ever seen on TV. If you follow copyleft issues, this is pure candy.

Someone samples Steven Colbert on YouTube. Viacom files a DMCA takedown. EFF sues Viacom. Steven Colbert invites John Perry Barlow on the show to discuss it. Someone posts that video to iFilm. You'll have to click through to see it because it doesn't embed...

John Perrry Barlow: "Its kind of a metaphor of a metaphor if you know what I mean."

Fox Trot and the War on Technology
Topic: Intellectual Property 11:09 pm EST, Feb  4, 2003

This is funny as hell. I love the closeup of the VCR in the third frame. If Disney did redo the Pirates of the Caribbean ride to have animatronic portrayals of P2P users and overseas DVD duplication labs, I would make the trip to see it. Thats my idea of entertainment.
