Hendersonville police arrested country music artistMartyStuart yesterday on charges that included driving under the influence of alcohol, saying the singer was seen striking a parked car outside a McDonald's.

Lt. Paul Harbsmeier said police arrested Stuart after receiving a complaint at 3:29 p.m. of an accident involving a possibly intoxicated driver along Hendersonville's West Main Street.

Officers found Stuart at the scene, charging him with DUI, implied consent and simple possession.
