Yeah. I've been sucked in, too. I want one. I probably won't buy one, but I want one. :(

The absolute worst as far as I'm concerned is that new Hummer, H2. Every time I see one I'm like: "What are they thinking???"

You've see the Nissan Altima commercial where jungle brothers Ming + FS record the sound of doors slamming and windows going up and down, then run the sounds through ProTools to make a techno song. And you've heard Matmos' A Chance to Cut Is a Chance to Cure, which was created entirely from the sounds of plastic surgery. Well, electronic funk maestro and pal to the Tigerbeat6 krew Venetian Snares (aka Aaron Funk) has decided to sex this G-Rated premise up-- he's recorded the sounds of he and his incredibly open-minded girlfriend (Rachael Kozak, aka Hecate) doing the horizontal trip-bop, and plans to assemble the sounds into a full-length album.

...

Says Funk in the January 2003 issue of Playboy: "It's weird to deconstruct the sounds of sex. It makes you conscious of a lot of stuff you'd normally ignore. I remember thinking shit like, 'Oh, that slap will make a good snare drum.'" If nothing else, concentrating on the tonal qualities of an ass-slap should be an interesting new way for our male readership to forestall orgasm. Just don't forget about her needs, guys. While a full tracklist has yet to be released, it's probably more fun to make up song titles yourself. Here's hoping Hecate doesn't dump Venetian Snakes, prompting a masturbatory solo album.

Disgruntled employee plants a logic bomb on their ex-employers machines before quitting.

A certain former employer of mine that provided outsourced security management services (who will remain nameless) had me plant a logic bomb on one of their customer's firewalls at one point. They were concerned about non-payment.

In retrospect I should have refused. Interestingly enough the proprietors of that business seem to have problems with my integrity. [snort!]

Yeah, if you're reading Idi Amin's constitution, but not the US Constitution!

Two Towers Protest
Topic: Miscellaneous 4:58 pm EST, Dec 14, 2002

] This has to be one of the most ridiculous things I have ever read.

These people are just plain stupid. It's amazing. From the FAQ:

We believe that Peter Jackson and New Line Cinema's actions are in fact hate speech. The movie is intentionally being named The Two Towers in order to capitalize on the tragedy of September 11. Clearly, you cannot deny the fact that this falls under hate speech. We believe that if they will not willingly change the name, the government should step in to stop the movie's production or to force a name change.

It's intentionally named that because the freaking book is named that! You've really got to work in order to be this stupid.
