The Abolition of Work--Bob Black
Topic: Health and Wellness 1:17 pm EST, Nov 20, 2002

] Unions and management agree that we ought to sell the
] time of our lives in exchange for survival, although they
] haggle over the price. Marxists think we should be bossed
] by bureaucrats. Libertarians think we should be bossed by
] businessmen. Feminists don't care which form bossing
] takes so long as the bosses are women. Clearly these
] ideology-mongers have serious differences over how to
] divvy up the spoils of power. Just as clearly, none of
] them have any objection to power as such and all of them
] want to keep us working.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I definitely don't touch this stuff. No BGH for me, thanks.

Soy milk coming to school lunches? -
Topic: Health and Wellness 1:40 am EDT, Oct 19, 2002

"The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, which promotes alternatives to animal use, claims that the school lunch program discriminates against minority students.
The USDA does not reimburse school districts for soy milk unless students provide a doctor's note demonstrating a medical need. The federally assisted lunch program requires that cow's milk be offered. "

Ecstasy linked to serious brain damage
Topic: Health and Wellness 10:32 pm EDT, Sep 29, 2002

"The new data suggests that repeated ecstasy use on top of age-related attrition heightens the risk of developing what is known as parkinsonism, a condition that looks like Parkinson's disease, but isn't."

Everyone who blogs that "ecstasy cures parkinsons" articles gets the "ecstasy causes parkinsons" article in their memebox.
