US Ebay Store Owners Subsidize China's Free Listings
Topic: Miscellaneous 4:15 pm EDT, Jul 21, 2006

eBay announced yesterday that it was more than doubling store listing fees for US sellers, and raising final value fee commissions from 8% to 10%.

They stated that they were not able to meet the cost for stores.

So what US eBayers want to know is.....why is it that WE are paying out the nose, and eBay is free for China?

Could it be that the 2,000,000 dollar share buy back is actually at the bottom of all of this?

As eBay's stocks drop lower on the news, could it be that the stock prices are being manipulated somewhat?

Discussion boards ARE heating up, and eBay has a lot of folks very angry today.

See http://cbs4.com/topstories/local_story_202091018.html for more details on the price increase itself.
