I read the stupid 110 p proposed law. I am far from a financial analyst. I am just an everyday citizen trying to make heads or tails of this monster. I figure hardly anyone has time to read this stuff. Well, I fell down a hill and hurt my hurt ankle for the 40th time and I'm flat on my back and doped up for a while, so here is my informal, jotted, best attempt at understanding it, and some of my thoughts while reading it. 1st paragraph - what are the other purposes? lol wtf pg 5 excludes any central bank owned by a foreign country....good; funds definition is weird, have to skip ahead to find out what it is. :( Don't like this - any financial instrument that the secretary after consultation with the fed, determines a need for, after transmittal to congress. Says not a thing about congressional approval - only transmittal. by page 7 it is already looking like a bureaucratic nightmare. pg 8 omg too much authority is being given - treasury gets executive authority Is it possible this monster will be able to make or break anyone they want? pg 13 interesting - all financial institutions can participate....no discrimination of SIZE (ok, ??? I thought the problem was only the too big to fail.) Looking a lot like socialism here.... pg 15 Financial stability oversight board They can only review and make recommendations - they can't directly censor it seems - problems they find have to go to a special inspector GENERAL for ASSETS RELIEF PROGRAM or the attorney general. (Everyone is pretty much appointed by the executive branch.) They will meet every month. They report to the congressional panel 2x a year. Then THIS oversight board is going to terminate. I'm not clear on when? Looks quick? pg 17 bottom pg 19, pretty much says the treasurer will bring congress a detailed invoice and the bill and "a description of the vehicles established to exercise this authority" They need to make a report 1 week after they spend every 50 billion bucks THE Secretary manages purchased assets. pg 22 Ok, how much further can we get from the constitution? Money from revenues goes into treasury to go towards the public debt. (I'm reading this as, we are broke and we need to make money, so high risk it is...) ????????? Is our only option a high risk gamble? At this point, since the sec of treasury will be buying and selling revenues with the tax payers money, I am kinda wondering how much access he will have to intelligence data. And this authority thing is bugging me. I don't understand it. if someone leaves their home, and the fed has the mortgage, to what length can they go to get that money owed? IE, will that person ever get a tax refund again, ever? You cannot go bankrupt against federally held loans as it is. ------------------------------------------------------- p. 22 sec. may waive provisions of the federal acquisition reg... 23 year old dies after being tasered; His mother not allowed to do CPR |

"Harlan began to comply but refused to remove his arms from under his body so officers could finish handcuffing him, Cmdr. Kevin Palmatory of the Moberly Police said. A Taser was deployed again, at which point Harlan complied and officers handcuffed him. The second deployment was very brief, perhaps between half a second and a second long deployment, Palmatory said. Shortly after he was handcuffed, Harlan stopped breathing. Before Randolph County Ambulance District personnel arrived, officers performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. When paramedics reached the scene, they began treating Harlan. He was then taken to Moberly Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at around 2:10 a.m. Thursday." This conflicts with witness reports, in which he was seen to be in trouble, and the police refused to let his mother, a witness, assist her son. Her son, according to her, died in the gutter while the policemen searched the car, later noticing ...he was dead. There's 2 or 3 versions of this story, but they all agree, there was a drunk 23 year old, breaking the law, and he was stopped and arrested, tasered twice...and died. 23 year old dies after being tasered; His mother not allowed to do CPR |

Another story reports that the girl weighs 90 pounds and has a learning disability and possible mental disorder. ------------------------------- The incident began when teachers at the Moss Elemenary School in Orange County confronted an 11-year-old girl for allegedly attempting to push another student into ongoing traffic outside the campus, MyFOXOrlando.com reported. Authorities say the young female ignored the teacher and walked inside the homeroom, where she was again approached by teachers over her behavior. The student responded by thowing a desk and chair and attempting to spit on the instructor, according to MyFOXOrlando.com. Donna Hudepohl, a school resource officer called to remove the troubled girl from the classroom, was allegedly pushed and punched in the face during a struggle to restrain her. Hudepohl responded by tasering the girl. The student was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, disrupting a school function as well as resisting with violence and is being held at the juvenile detention center. Witch fleeing Halifax after friends attacked, family swarmed |

There are a few other stories that have come out about this, but the details are not what they should be, and no justice has been served in this case as of yet. It is my understanding that there were multiple attacks - multiple acts of intimidation by neighbors (of mixed race) ...some of the attackers started saying that the family was white supremacists, which is not true (and irrelevant as a justification for such violence anyway) - they are of mixed ethnic heritage themselves - in order to further marginalize them. This is in Canada. ========= "For weeks, Shauna Cook, 37, says she's been targeted in her Halifax home because she is a hedge-witch natural healer. Now, two of her pagan friends have been attacked, with one stabbed in the back and another struck in the head with a rock. Shortly after midnight on Saturday, an 18-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy were leaving Cook's house to catch the bus when they were approached by four male teenagers, who asked the pair where they were going. After saying they were going home, the boy was attacked. Two more people jumped into the fight, making it six attackers in all. The young woman ran back to Cook's house and tried to phone police. While on the phone, one of the attackers threw a rock through a window and hit her in the forehead. Meanwhile, the 17-year old boy was being beaten and stabbed in the back before he made it back to the house himself. The attackers then fled. The attack came weeks after Cook's family was swarmed by bat-wielding assailants. Cook says she has no doubt her friends were attacked partly because she is a hedge-witch. She explains her religion as a more traditional form of wicca." Witch fleeing Halifax after friends attacked, family swarmed |

Cow Mutilations were bad enough - but CAT mutilations? |

Cat mutilations have been reported in several states now - and the pattern is the same - Cats, with no blood, cut in thirds or half - sometimes with their little kitty legs cut off - surgically or with a laser....left for others to find. Top places have been Texas, Edmonton, Canada, and Utah, but the cases have been popping up all over North America. Police in some areas say they will no longer report the details, thinking that perhaps it is inciting copy ...uh....cat killers. It is totally sick. I'm no PETA member, but my cats are my babies. Cats ARE the size of babies. Here in Georgia, ( one sicko was torturing cats and feeding them to his pit bulls.
------------------- "Aurora police will hold a news conference on Wednesday to announce that they will no longer release details on the cat mutilation cases that have plagued the metro area because they believe that media coverage may actually provoke more mutilations. At the conference, police will also introduce the members of the multi-city task force created last month to crack the case. Officers will also explain how the public can help in the investigation, and how pet owners can keep their cats safe by keeping them indoors. Four mutilated cats were discovered over the weekend, bringing the number to 40 cats discovered in Aurora, Denver and surrounding areas in the past year" Cow Mutilations were bad enough - but CAT mutilations? |

to protect life? "We are excited about this new additional federal agency purchasing TASER technology to protect life," said Tom Smith, Chairman and Founder of TASER international. "Traditionally, we have focused law enforcement sales at the local and state level, but we are now seeing acceptance of TASER technology at various federal law enforcement agencies." "We have seen a continual marked increase in TASER technology purchases at the federal level following our initial U.S. military approval of a five-year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. We are proud that law enforcement within the Departments of Defense, Justice, Homeland Security, Interior, and Agriculture are now relying on TASER devices to protect life."
