] cheeseburgers laced with broken glass at a McDonald's
] during their dinner break, officials said.

Heard about this on the radio this morning. The glass was very small pieces and looked very much like the minced onions on the burgers. The other bit of information that isn't in this blurb was that, the two officers where the only two customers in the restaurant at the time of the incident.

] night in lieu of $250,000 bail.

How much did he expect to get from the dollar store? But the bigger question here is why did they strip him?
