Israel also killed a leading Palestinian militant, and the PLO claimed to have evidence that the Jewish state was plotting to assassinate its leader, Yassir Arafat.

First we had "A New War", then we had "America Strikes Back", now we have "Return of the Rabbi". The end times are moving alot faster then I thought!

"Free our genetic data!" is the rallying cry of the biopunk. Let us do what we want with our own biology.

Hell yes! Its about time we get something fresh in the science scene. Expecially at the molment when Cyberpunk is wasted, old, and close to dead. I like to see passion science meet.

Mostly falls right in line with my experence. I have some different opinions on internal and external (proxy) cashing methods then they express here. And I think their 'single big ha db' strategy is totally the wrong way to go, but I also don't know what their db structure looked like and why it was like that.

Good info for folks intrested in how the big-boy systems are structured.

Infact, I'm going to be looking at the modules they recommended for DB searching. Might be better then my current approach.

Here's a complete text of one broadcast: "Attention Taliban! You are condemned. Did you know that? The instant the terrorists you support took over our planes, you sentenced yourselves to death. The Armed Forces of the United States are here to seek justice for our dead. Highly trained soldiers are coming to shut down once and for all Osama bin Laden's ring of terrorism, and the Taliban that supports them and their actions.

"Our forces are armed with state of the art military equipment. What are you using, obsolete and ineffective weaponry? Our helicopters will rain fire down upon your camps before you detect them on your radar. Our bombs are so accurate we can drop them right through your windows. Our infantry is trained for any climate and terrain on earth. United States soldiers fire with superior marksmanship and are armed with superior weapons.

"You have only one choice ... Surrender now and we will give you a second chance. We will let you live. If you surrender no harm will come to you. When you decide to surrender, approach United States forces with your hands in the air. Sling your weapon across your back muzzle towards the ground. Remove your magazine and expel any rounds. Doing this is your only chance of survival."

All your base.. All your base.. All your base, are belong to us..

Oh! I'd also say, "Monotheistic religion has always brought out the best in us humans; thank you so much for the idea of a vengeful supernatural entity who rewards people in the afterlife! That shit makes a lot of sense!"

Yep, I'm one of those wacko people who things that religion is no longer needed by a modern thinking public. Of course, most of the public is still neither modern or thinking. If there is any 'growth group' in religion, its atheism and agnosticism. I think this is a "Good Thing".

Another thought these comics induce, in the US it seems the precursor to the 'voice of reason' usually comes in the form of satire. Seems its easier for our 'modern thinking public' to attack emotional issues in an emotional context like humor. The true cynical and sarcastic attitude of the public rings thru in a undeniable way. In theory, conclusions based on logic should follow in other channels. To the authors its a way to express opinions over an emotional issue, to readers it may be inspiration for 'out of the box thinking' or mearly a needed escape. You can see the reason countries like China fear open and unregulated channels of communication. The sources of dangerous ideas start in what would seem to be harmless ways, such as satire. Religion isn't the only place.

Cherish your satire. Destory your idols and gods.
